Description
The second of the 3 Moretti 2300S convertibles known to exist (we restored another in 2017). This is a Michelotti - styled 4 seater convertible, built from new by Moretti using the Fiat 2300S mechanicals. This included a straight 6 enigne with twin Weber 38 carbs.
We have stripped it to bare metal and it is undergoing a detailed restoration which includes everthing. To date we are approximately 1000 hours into the process and anticipate another 2000 to completion.
The exterior can be any colour, it was black when purchased it in 2019, but we were erring towards a light metallic blue, with maybe dark blue or black leather together with a hand made mohair soft top. THIS CAN ALL BE DECIDED!
The restoration will include hand fabrication of all panels as required in-house, far exeeding the quality of the original car, fully rebuilt mechanicals including lightened and balanced engine, rebuilt transmission and new brakes and suspension, new wiring loom and uprated original electrics. Factory Borrani wire wheels together with new Michelin XWX typres are included. All new chrome, plated by UK specialists. Pictures of our Celeste green car, following restoration.
