Ferrari 330 GTS

1967 Ferrari 330 GTS. We undertook a detailed engine rebuild on this car, despite a reputed 400 miles since last rebuild! Engine was removed as shown, sonic cleaned and measured. Cylinder heads were stripped, alluminium welded and crack tested before being re-assembled with all new rockers, guides, seats etc as required. The crank was polished, balanced ( with clutch and front pulley) and all new bearings fitted prior to re-assembly. Fuel pump and water pump were rebuilt. The carburettors were milled flat (they were typically bowed in the middle) and overhauled. We then replaced the engine, set it up and tuned it. A custom stainless steel exhaust system was made exclusively for us and the car has proved superbly reliable having covered serveral thousand miles since.

DTR are undertaking a full restoration of this vehicle, including colour change, in-house mohair hand made soft top and leather interior, and fully rebuilt suspension and brakes. Completion is scheduled for June 2011. 

Completed on time and seen here competing in the Ennstal Classic, driven by Mark Cooper and Paul de Turris, the car completed approximately 900km over 3 days of mixed weather. July 2011
